AI Policy

Last updated July 31, 2026

Rumore is built around an AI Employee that helps you run your reputation. This policy explains, in plain terms, what that AI does, how much it does on its own, and how your data is handled along the way.

What the AI does

The AI Employee works across the same surfaces you do. It drafts replies to your reviews, answers customer messages across your connected channels, writes social posts in your business voice, and sends review requests to your customers after a visit. It reads the content your business already handles (a review's text, a customer's message, your Location Profile) to do this, and it answers in your customer's language.

You stay in control

The AI runs on tiered autonomy, and you own the dial. Each capability is either on Autopilot (the AI acts on its own) or Approve-first (the AI drafts and you send), and you can move any capability between the two.

  • By default the routine, low-risk work runs on Autopilot: sending review requests on their triggers, thank-you replies to positive reviews, and routine inbox replies that stay grounded in your Location Profile.
  • The sensitive work is Approve-first by default: replies to negative reviews, anything that would go beyond your Location Profile, and social posts.
  • Anything that commits your business (a booking, a reschedule, a firm price, a promise) is always drafted for your one-tap confirmation and is never sent on its own.

Human oversight

AI output can be wrong or incomplete, so a human stays in the loop where it matters. You can review, edit or discard any draft before it goes out, turn any capability down to Approve-first, or pause the AI entirely. Whatever you approve and publish is your content and your responsibility, wherever it appears.

How the AI stays grounded

The AI answers from your Location Profile, the business facts you give it (hours, services, policies, address). When it does not know something, it does not invent an answer: it hands the conversation to you instead of guessing. This keeps its replies accurate to your business rather than to the open internet.

Your data and the AI

We use third-party AI models to generate drafts. We send the provider only the content needed for your request (a review's text, a customer's message, your Location Profile), and only to produce that draft. The provider processes it transiently: it does not retain the content once the draft is returned, and it does not use it to train its foundational models.

For replies to customer messages and social comments, Rumore itself keeps the AI's draft from the moment it is written, whether or not you send anything, and keeps your final version next to it when you do send, so future drafts can sound more like you; the pair stays inside your own business and is never shared across businesses. We do not keep a separate AI draft of a review reply. We do keep the reply you send, and where a review site will not accept a reply through us we hold it so you can post it yourself. Messages go when the conversation they belong to reaches your retention window, a year unless we have agreed otherwise; social comments and reviews stay until you delete your account. Rumore does not use the content of your reviews, messages or Contacts to train generalized AI or machine-learning models, and Google user data in particular is never used for model training (see our Privacy Policy).

Honesty

We never fabricate reviews, ratings or testimonials, and Rumore never gates reviews: every customer is routed to leave a real, public review. The AI helps you respond and stay visible; it does not manufacture reputation.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and tell account holders. Questions about how Rumore uses AI go to privacy@rumore.ai. This policy sits alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
